Samuel Eto'o got the early opener to silence the Drogba saga. Gary Cahill also cemented the Lead with a mesmarizing strike after the goal keeper punched out Terry's nod from Lampards corner kick. That was it all. 2-0 was barely enough to send the Didier Drogba's side parking.
Hazard everly showed himself and gave Ebuoue a nightmare. Oscar and substitute Torres were also on target but the Gala goalkeeper were able to refuse them access to the net.
William also tested the hand glove of the keeper.
John Terry as well almost scored but his own strike went over the bar.
The Chelsea Back four did what they know how to do best, as they prevented Drogba from laying mayhem.
Chelsea are comfortably in the Last 8 game as the Only English team, pending Manchester United game with Olympiacos of which they are 0-2 down already.
