According to
sportzwiki, Liverpool’s former French player Djibril Cisse was arrested by police
on Tuesday along with three other people over alleged sex tape
blackmail of France international player Mathieu Valbuena, according to
Le Figaro.
The four suspects including Cisse are now being questioned by the
investigative officers over an attempted extortion of money from
Valbuena, currently playing for the French side Olympic Lyon. Though
reports also claimed, former France international striker Cisse will be
later released without any charge.
Police believe other three men held in custody are the mastermind
behind this blackmail plot against Val Buena. Their plan was to make a
phone call to the French player and threaten him by claiming they have a
sex tape made between Valbuena and his partner, if the player doesn't
pay, they will make it public.
Cisse who had spells with Liverpool, Sunderland and QPR; now plays
for JS Saint Pierroise in the Reunion Premiere league of French
territory. He was recently in the news after getting into a Twitter war
with ex-wife.
