Mourinho to Be Fined For Missing Press Briefing

Jose Mourinho will face a fine, this time not by FA but by Premier League Organization for missing the press conference both pre- and post- during the Newcastle visit last saturday.

Actually, this is how it happened:

Mourinho was fined by FA for his derogatory "there is a campaign" remarks during the 1-1 draw against Southampton.

Now he (probably in anger or stubbornness) missed out of the Press briefing during the yesterday Newcastle game; and instead sent his assistant, Steve Holland to go and do the talking for him. And that is wrong. It is the work of the Manager, not the Coach to give press briefings.

The Premier League is poised to fine Jose Mourinho for pulling out of his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's game against Newcastle United.

It is not the first time it has happened which means, on this occasion, when the matter is then referred back to the Premier League's board Chelsea can expect a fine, not a warning.

Under Premier League rules it is the manager who has to attend the press conferences, not a coach. Indeed the media rules are extremely specific and clubs are threatened with fines if they breach them."

Hmmm...Why is Mourinho like this? Always at the centre of controversy...why?
