The Chelsea Football Club under the watch of the popular
coach, Jose Mourinho, have suffered a monumental setback this season. It is a
very unbelievable fact that the Chelsea we know, the defending champions of the
English Premier league are in the position 15 out of the 20 twenty teams in the
Premier league. And the worst of it all is that this is happening under the
watch of Jose Mourinho – the spec ial one, the only one and the happy one. It
is unfortunate.
Now to the Nitty-gritty of the whole mantra - How Mourinho/
Chelsea can return to Winning Ways.
1.
If we must remember, Chelsea/Mourinho’s travails
started or probably worsened after Jose Mourinho’s drama with the former
Chelsea physician, Eva Carneiro during the 2-2 draw at Swansea City. It was
obvious Mourinho wronged Eva grievously, and refused to apologize. And out of
annoyance, the young physician had to leave the club. Mourinho’s was act was condemned worldwide; and in fact
that brought him more enemies than friends. And in fact I think that some
players will not also be at home with that. Hence, Mourinho needs to set ways
straight. He needs to apologize to Eva Carneiro and allowethe young lady’s mind
to come down. If not as long as Eva’s mind is still not at piece with Mourinho,
Mourinho might leave Chelsea painfully just as Eva Carneiro has done. It is a
bitter truth that the law of Karma has caught up with Mourinho. If Mourinho can
put away pride and apologize, Chelsea will return to winning ways.
2.
Mourinho needs to understand the nature of his
job. He is too proud to my liking. Mourinho is excessively a proud man, and
that is the major thing that brings failure in a man’s life. Pride they say,
goes before the fall. Mourinho should go back to the drawing board, set his
paths straight, beg his God for forgiveness, apologize to Eva and remove pride
from his life. Chelsea will return to winning ways.
3.
What about the players who do the real job? Has
Mourinho offended any of them directly or indirectly? These are questions that
are to be answered acted upon; because no matter how good a coach could be, it
is the players that will prove him so. Sequel to that, I therefore admonish
that Mourinho should in the light of going back to God and Eva, also go back to
the players one on one and privately if possible and talk to each of them, and then ask them to save him
from the looming disgrace. That would go a long way in boosting the players’
morale and the improvement that will be seen in Chelsea would become glaring to
everyone.
4.
Mourinho should also know the combination of
players to use. Matic should after
serving his red card be allowed to sit on the bench for sometimes. Mikel should
be given more chance to prove himself. At least for now, he is better than
Matic. Matic is idiotic.
UP front, Mourinho should learn the hard
way to combine Hazard, Willians and Pedro. These three players can possess the
ball for at least 1 minute. And possession is a major key to winning a match.
If your enemy is not with the ball, he cannot do you any single harm; so deny
him of the ball. Hazard and Pedro can be on the flanks while Willian should be
in the middle; or whichever way he wishes to combine them, but let the three of
them be in the pitch.
Terry should also be rested. Cahill and
Zouma should be tried at the central defence and Ivanovic can as well come in
with Azpilicueta. Baba should also be allowed to prove his own worth.
Diego Costa should be taught how to shoot at
sight. That is what makes a striker. He should watch Vardy of Leicester City
and Pele of Southampton, or even Aguero of Mancity, probably their video clips
should be played for him to learn.
